Potty Time!

What a big girl!! This morning, Kate said "Potty" and wanted Luke's Diego potty. Then she actually sat down and went pee-pee!! We all did the potty dance!

Swim Party!

We went to Emma and Morgan's swim party on Saturday. Luke swam all over the place and Kate really enjoyed the pizza!

Luke's favorite hobby

Luke's absolute favorite thing to do is read. At the ripe old age of 3 and a half he has taken a liking to chapter books. He loves the Chronicles of Narnia or any of Mom and Dad's books that he can get his hands on. Today at nap time, I went to check on Luke to see if he was asleep. He had fallen asleep with his book still in hand. Needless to say, we think he's a pretty smart guy!!

Springfield Cardinals Game

This Sunday night, we went to see the Springfield Cardinals play at Hammons Field. Chris Carpenter was pitching so Matt was excited to go. Luke had a great time with the pretzels, cotton candy, hot dogs and fries!

A Proud SLP Mom

As an SLP, I'm especially aware of my children's communication development. Kate is quite the communicator. She says more and more things every day. She requests "french fry!" from the backseat, she can say a really strong "NO!", but my favorite is the way she says "yeah". It is so cute, very drawn out and throaty sounding. Kate knows what she wants, when she wants it. I just took this picture of them playing PuzzleTown after Kate said "puzzle" and led me to the closet.

Kids say funny things!

Luke is 3 1/2 and says lots of funny things which is why I'm starting this blog...that and Kim keeps telling me to. This way I can type them in quickly and not have to pull out his baby book and write them down. Yesterday we saw some trash on the ground outside and Luke said that people should not "glitter"! The other funny thing is his name for his boy part--he calls it his teensy! I know later in life he would not find this funny. We went in the family bathroom at Target and he decided to pee standing up. When he was done he told me he had to "wag his teensy"! Kate is 1 1/2 and is already saying lots of things. She loves to bark like a dog, sleep with her "night night" and suck on her "me me" (binky). I'm going to post some recent pictures to get this blog started.
