Thanksgiving with the Lohmans

We spent Thanksgiving day with Matt's family. Matt and Luke were in charge of the turkey and it had my seal of approval. It was excellent! Matt has also stepped gracefully into the role of turkey carver.

Brother and Sister

Lately, Luke and Kate have been getting along and playing together quite well. Kate follows Luke around and copies whatever he does. The other night they were reading books together on the couch before bed. It was very sweet. I guess with playing together comes the tattling. Kate has already learned to say, "Wuke did it" any time something goes wrong.

Ouch!

This is what can happen if your face gets too close to an almost four-year-old who is seriously playing. My face collided with Luke's head last Sunday night and I've had a black eye the whole week. I've had to explain it about a million times to people!

Serious Playing...

This is what our almost four year old looks like in the evenings when his imagination goes wild! He loves to play pirates and Star Wars.

Halloween Night

We went on a trick-or-treating marathon tonight. We hit Sharon's neighborhood, then met cousins Lauren and Sam at Cooper Estates and then headed to Grandma and Grandpa's house. By the time we got home, we had a very tired Darth Vader and Princess Leia. Kate kept her Leia buns on all evening and I think they kept her ears quite warm! I didn't get very many great pictures because our camera's batteries ran out. Here's what we got....

Sneak Peek

This is one of the pictures we had taken last weekend at Phelps Grove Park. My friend Melody and her husband did them. She sent me a sneak peek of the CD today. I actually think it's pretty cute!!

When It Rains, It Pours...

And apparently, it pours Scooby Snacks! This evening, Matt and I were discussing the non-working status of the DVD player, and the wireless internet, and the long list of "needs repaired" items from our mechanic that we received today. If it's not one thing it is another. When we turned around to see what Kate was doing, we noticed that she had decided to fix her own dinner. What a responsible little girl. Unfortunately, I don't think she had items from each food group represented for a healthy meal. She opted for a big pile of Scooby Snacks. Needless to say, after I took the picture, I removed the snacks and helped her make a better choice. Kate's always handy to have around for some comic relief!!!

P.S. Matt fixed the DVD player and the wireless internet. We're still discussing the car!!
